In a significant escalation of regional tensions, multiple explosions were heard in Tel Aviv today following a missile attack by Hezbollah. The Lebanese militant group claimed responsibility for the attack, describing it as a retaliation for recent Israeli actions in Lebanon.

The missile strikes triggered air raid sirens across Tel Aviv and surrounding areas, prompting residents to seek shelter.

Israeli authorities have confirmed that emergency services are on high alert, and efforts are underway to assess the full extent of the damage and provide assistance to affected residents. No casualties have been reported at this time.

In a statement, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the attack, vowing a strong response to ensure the safety and security of Israeli citizens. “We will not tolerate such acts of aggression against our people. Our defense forces are fully prepared to respond decisively to any threats,” Netanyahu said.

Hezbollah’s leadership issued a statement claiming the missile strikes were in direct response to Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon, which they allege targeted civilian areas. The group warned of further actions if hostilities continue.

The international community has expressed concern over the escalating violence, with calls for restraint and dialogue from various global leaders. The United Nations has urged both parties to de-escalate and engage in peaceful negotiations to prevent further loss of life and destruction.
