The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has arrested a Stanbic IBTC Bank official over the redesigned naira notes.
The commission arrested a bank official of Stanbic IBTC Bank, Deidei branch, Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria for alleged sabotage of the CBN directives.
The bank official was arrested and taken into custody for her deliberate refusal to upload cash into the branch’s Automated Teller Machines (ATM) even when the cash was available, and people were queuing at the ATMs.
The Commission was seen moving around the Federal Capital Territory and other States in Nigeria to arrest violators of the CBN directives.
