The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu had a stakeholder engagement with residents of Eti-Osa LGA alongside traditional rulers and top government officials.
The meeting was held on Sunday, 12th February 2023 at the Monarch Event Center. The meeting was a no-holds-barred engagement, which enable the governor to have a chance to get first-hand feedback from the citizens living in that environment.
Sanwo Olu used the opportunity to give an account of the state administration’s development projects executed in Eti Osa, which include the construction of network of five roads in the Victoria Island-Lekki axis, re-designing of six traffic points along the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
He also discussed the ongoing Regional Road Construction, improvement of Abraham Adesanya Roundabout, General Hospital at Ikota, completion of Badore Jetty, and introduction of Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAA) in Lekki general area.
Sanwo-Olu also emphasised on the Coastal Road that he believes that the Regional and Coastal Road will bring huge relief to Eti Osa. The governor stated that his administration will start with the Regional Road which is not as capital-intensive and complex as the Coastal Road. He said the available resources in the state will only have a bit-by-bit construction on the Coastal Road unless the Federal Government intervenes on the State's behalf.
