It’s thirty-nine days to the 2023 presidential election, and all eligible political parties have taken their campaign train around the states in the country and made their manifestos known to Nigerians. There have been several interviews and town hall meetings organised by different organisations within the country to hear the views of every presidential candidate either directly through the aspirants or their spokesperson.
During an interview with the former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, on Arise TV Morning Show on Monday 16th, January 2023 revealed that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi is the only challenge the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will face in the South-East.
He also stated that his party PDP will vastly win in the North-West, South-South, North-Central, and North-East which is the zone of the vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the party will take our 25 percent in more than 24 states in the country.
Saraki said:
“South-South is a strong PDP area. We will do very well in South-South, and South-East, the challenge we have there, of course, is Labour, but we will still do well in the South-East and take our 25 percent. We will do well in North Central, we will do well in North-West and North-East. We need four zones. By the time you have four zones, you will win the election.
