A missile strike launched by Iran early Friday has ignited fires and caused significant damage near a Microsoft office located in the Gav-Yam Negev Advanced Technologies Park in Beersheba, southern Israel. The attack, part of a broader escalation in regional hostilities, has left at least seven people injured and prompted emergency responses across the affected area.

According to Israeli authorities, the missile targeted a high-tech zone that includes military and cyber infrastructure. The blast damaged nearby residential buildings and vehicles, with footage showing flames engulfing a parking area adjacent to the Microsoft facility. Israel Railways temporarily suspended operations at the Beersheba North-University station due to structural damage, though service has since resumed.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard claimed responsibility, stating the strike was aimed at entities allegedly supporting Israeli military operations. In a statement, the Guard accused the Microsoft office of being “part of the system supporting aggression” and not merely a civilian entity.

Microsoft has not yet issued a public statement regarding the incident. First responders continue to assess the extent of the damage and ensure the safety of personnel in the area.
