In a bold statement that has sparked national conversation, activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has condemned Nigerian leaders for their failure to protect and uplift the country’s children. Speaking at a recent event, Sowore declared, “Nigerian rulers did Nigerian children dirty, and these kids will rise against them someday.”

Sowore’s remarks come amid growing concerns over the state of child welfare in Nigeria. Reports indicate that Nigerian children face alarming rates of poverty, lack of access to quality education, and violations of their fundamental rights. Advocacy groups have repeatedly called for urgent reforms to address these issues, yet progress remains slow.

The activist’s statement underscores the frustration felt by many Nigerians who believe that the government has neglected its duty to secure a better future for the nation’s youth. With increasing awareness and activism among young Nigerians, Sowore’s prediction of a generational reckoning may not be far-fetched.
